My name’s Joe Stockman, I'm an Editor, Producer, and Writer seeking new challenges and constant evolution as a storyteller.
The videos to the right highlight some of my most interesting work to date. Included are two pilots I created and developed, "My Way or The Highway" a city by city travel adventure show, and “Speedway Driver Search”, a racing docu-drama competition, as well as bits from other Travel Channel, HGTV, Discovery Health, Food Network and Action Sports programs.
As a Writer and Producer, I’ve submitted segments from the DIY Network Show “Sweat Equity” and the Food Network staple, “Unwrapped”. As an Editor, I've worked on HGTV's "House Hunters", as well as DIY's "Disaster House" and "Food Network Challenge" and others.
But it’s not just television. Over my career, I’ve worked on independent films, corporate communications, national commercial spots, and half hour infomercials. These types of projects challenge in an entirely different way, and help stretch creative boundaries.
As I see it, Editors recognize elements that make a great story, Writers consider how to present the elements, and Producers know how to acquire that footage.
I’ve done all three, which offers rare perspective in the world of visual production. Together, those experiences support collaboration with like-minded peers. The truth is, every step forward is just as crucial as the one that precedes it when conceiving and working on the vision for projects.
I'm grateful for the opportunity to be in the visual storytelling business, and I'd love to help you tell yours.
